About Marchward

Marchward is an independent health and nutrition education coaching firm founded by the brothers Cedric L. Marquard and Merlin L. Marquard and incorporated as L. Marquard UG (haftungsbeschränkt) in Ludwigshafen (Rhein), Germany, in March 2023. Marchward is heavily based around publicising digests of incredibly valuable leading-edge research literature not known to the broader public outside specialised research circles in order to give power and control to cancer patients, so that they may reclaim their lives from their disease and outlive their dismal prognosis with confidence.

Our vision is a world, if not without cancer, then without cancer as a common cause of death. From recent advances in our knowledge of cancer, this lofty goal seems closer than ever, and may already be achievable.

How We Got Here

Merlin and Cedric began studying for their bachelor of science degrees in molecular biotechnology at Heidelberg University, Germany, in 2019 and 2020, respectively. At the onset of their studies, Merlin was mostly interested in ageing as a global disease in need of solutions. Cedric was far more broadly interested in biology and bioengineering for the improvement of human life and wellbeing. These are still of interest to them, but more acute concerns have taken up their horizons in recent years.

During the beginning of their respective bachelor studies, the COVID-19-pandemic hit. The pandemic has been a testament to the danger – and thereby also power – of bioengineering technology, for whilst it's not finally known, whether the causative virus – SARS-CoV-2 – was engineered or zoonotic, the evidence does seem to lean toward the former. No ancestral virus has been found of SARS-CoV-2 in animals.^1–2 And the evidence for its origin on the legendary Huanan live animal market is circumstantial at best, the virus only ever being found in environmental samples, which is explainable by both a engineered or zoonotic origin.

The event shocked both Merlin and Cedric to the core. The way people became entirely sectarian in the wake of the pandemic was frightening. Neutral and rational discussion died and the only thing that mattered was emotions. Even amongst our peers in the bachelor studies emotion and sectarian dogma dominated over neutral and rational considerations and debates.

It was deeply disturbing and showed the brothers just how corruptible and manipulable the 'scientific' community was and how much they acted as priests of the modern day rather than arbiters of fact.

This disturbance to their world view was then further disturbed by a cancer diagnosis for their dad. It was multiply metastatic epithelioid mesothelioma. Doctors recommended surgery and a course of chemotherapy. It left dad weak and with subpar blood cell and micronutrient counts for more than two years.

This diagnosis chased Merlin down a rabbit hole of figuring out exactly what their dad could do for himself to fight and eventually defeat cancer. This also marked the birth of the Mosaic Method, though back then it was far less extensive and yet in its infancy. Thankfully, their dad is still with them.

First Successes

A few years after the founding of Marchward, the firm was reoriented to entirely focus on the treatment of cancer patients, the elongation of their lives, and the improvement of their wellbeing.

Since then, Marchward has – beyond the founders' dad – helped a multiply metastatic androgen receptor–positive prostate cancer patient with reverting metastatic lesions to naive bone tissue. The fate of the primary prostate carcinoma is as yet unknown, but subjective health and wellbeing of the patient has already considerably improved. More data is to follow. Another patient with polycythaemia vera presenting largely as thrombocythaemia with depressed erythropoietin levels has lowered their thrombocyte count by more than 30% within three months.

These successes show the principal soundness of the Mosaic Method, though improvements are still being made continually, especially toward more cancer subtype–specific interventions, and recently also immunomodulatory approaches – like the suppression of IL-6 signalling using extracts from Ganoderma lucidum and Cordyceps sinensis and the resolution of spike-protein pathology, which is known to suppress anticancer immunity.
